Pampered Chef anyone??

I thought I would throw a Pampered Chef party for a friend. Haven't done one of these in years and in writing out my guest list realized I don't know very many people. So then I had this great idea that I could use this party to meet new people in the area by offering a free gift to anyone who brought a friend. Well, this only works well if you already know a lot of people. LOL

So I thought I would pass along to my peeps on Pikes Peak Parent. Late notice, but you are welcome

Scrapbooking with Kids

I discovered scrapbooking a few years ago, quite a few actually. It started as my time away from the house (and kids) but as my kids have grown I found that they like to scrapbook too! I started individual scrapbooks when my kids turned 4. Starting on their 4th birthday they got a new scrapbook for their birthday. I usually buy a spiral bound book with white pages from Wal-Mart. Now what can they do at the age of 4? Well this was my way of organizing their drawings. I would collect them and they… Continue

Her price is far above rubies . . .

My last post was concerning all the job titles we as moms label ourselves with. In Proverbs we find that a woman who can do all these (and more) tasks is called a treasure worth far above rubies! This verse is the base of a wonderful ministry called Above Rubies. I came to be familiar with this ministry years ago and still enjoy reading their free magazine! Two years ago I was blessed to be able to attend the Texas Above Rubies retreat in the TX Hill Coun… Continue

What we get ourselves into . . .

As a mom, we have many job titles. Taxi, chef, CPA, teacher . . . and the list goes on and on. But each of us are different in our habits, desires, parenting styles, and hobbies. How in the world do we pull it all off? and enjoy the journey?

This blog is mostly me airing my thoughts. I have no great answers.

Felicia,
Also, I would appreciate it if you delete my prior comment, and not accept it. I just wanted a how-to suggestion for editing my post on your blog.

Really, we haven't found a whole lot of great Mexican Restaurants here yet. But we haven't tried many. We do find a lot of the New Mexico style here though. Which is also good.

Ahh . . . real Mexican food. Enjoy that! I've got family in San Diego, but home for us is Texas. So our Mexican tends to be a little more TexMex, but still good stuff!! We are hanging around the house this summer. Two of my kids and hubby are going…

I dislike the gift bags too. If we do a kid party (we usually do field trips) we have the kids make a craft they can take home. This way they still have a treasure to take home, but it is hopefully something that they had fun making. Oriental Tradin…

Lemonade is so easy to make! We take 4 large lemons and 1 lime and use a hand juicer to squeeze the juice into a pitcher. Then fill the 1 gal pitcher up with cold water. Add 1 c agave nectar and stir. Pop in some frozen fruit for ice!
