Editor of My Kids Week survives Haiti earthquake, returns home

Colo. Haiti survivor comes home; no sign of companion

When I first heard about Dan Woolley being trapped in the rubble of a Port-au-Prince hotel, I didn't realize that he was the publisher of My Kids Week. I met him briefly at the Colorado Baby & Kids Expo in October and missed putting the face to the name.
Woolley and fellow Compassion International worker, David Hames, had just finished a day's filming of a documentary for Compassion and were heading up to their hotel room when the earthquake struck and both were trapped in the Hotel Montana.
After more than 60 hours in the rubble, Woolley was rescued. Hames is still missing.
To Dan and his family, I send best wishes and gratitude that he came home to them alive.
