Art in the Gallery

Cheyenne Mountain Heritage Center invites families to join them for Art in the Gallery from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
The class welcomes children ages 5 and older. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
There will be a short tour of the Charles L. Bunnell gallery exhibit and then a lesson on "blended watercolor technique."
The Center is located at 1118 W. Cheyenne Road.
Cost is $10. To register, call 632-7000.

Come see Mickey and Company at the Pikes Peak Center on Sunday. "Disney Live! Rockin' Road Show" takes off at 12:30 and 3:30 p.m. when Micky, Minnie, Goofy and Donald head off on an adventure. Audience participation is a must with sing-alongs and dancing. Buzz and Woody from Toy Story, Cinderella and Tigger will also be along for the ride.

Anansi the Spider


On Saturday at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. puppet master, Paul Mesner, returns to the Manitou Art Theater with four folk tales from Africa and the Caribbean. Mischievous spider Anansi shares his wit and cleverness in this award-winning play.
Shows continue at 1 and 3 p.m. on Sunday at the Theatre, 1367 Pecan St.

CC Hockey $5 Kid Night


Saturday is another $5 admission night for kids at the Colorado College Tigers Ice Hockey game. The puck will fall at 7:07 p.m. when the Tigers take on Mercyhurst College at the World Arena.

Children's Museum of Denver

The Children's Museum of Denver invites families to join them for a Colorado Ballet performance of scenes from Beauty and the Beast. Performances will include excerpts from other fairy tales as well.

Performances begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday followed by a question and answer period and a time when kids will be allowed to try on costumes once worn by dancers.

The event is free with Museum admission. Admission for adults and children 2 years of age and older is $7.50. Children under 2 years of age get in for $5.50. Museum members get in free.

Children's Museum is located at 2121 Children's Museum Drive in Denver.
